Short Game
Trouble Shots
We’ve all had them. We approach our ball only to find it in a position we have never encountered before. I am talking here of the ball behind a tree, ball above and below our feet, upslope and down slopes shots etc…The first reaction is invariably to panic, but if you calm your thoughts and really get down to the basics of what the shot requires, you can get the ball back in play and limit the damage. Many golfers will turn a tough shot into a high number. I like to give pupils a couple of these in a lesson and get them to realise that there is no need to panic and by remaining calm, you can execute them successfully.
