Practice

Practice on the range as if you were in competition and play in competition as if you were practicing on the range.

Practicing is not getting two buckets of balls and lashing them into the range, finishing up and walking away thinking we have had a great “work out”. That is not practicing, that is lashing balls aimlessly into a field!
Practicing is pretending we are in competition when on the range. We aim at a specific spot on the range, go through our pre shot routine and then take the shot as if it was on the course. The more you practice this on the range, the more confidence you will have on the golf course, particularly if you are coming down the last hole needing a par to win the monthly medal or whatever competition you are in. When you find yourself in a situation like this, all you have to do is remember the countless shots you executed correctly on the range. In effect, just pretend you are back on the range and I promise you, you will feel a lot better and more confident over any shot given any circumstance.
