Golf Lessons
There is no short cut to an improved swing. To improve your swing it takes instruction, practice and commitment
What is the most common complaint from any golfer?
“I am just not consistent enough, one day Im great, the next day Im terrible!”
In order to become more consistent, in terms of the golf swing, it means the following:
- Controlling the ball flight pattern
- The trajectory
- The spin or curve
- And the distance the ball travels
With each client, I look at all four and see which of these is leading to your inconsistencies. After recognising the fault, I then go to find where this problem stems from.
It can be from a number of areas but the problem will almost definitely be from the following:
- Poor set up
- Poor pivot or the weight transfer throughout the swing
- Poor swinging motion
- Poor Linkage of these three
After locating the problem, I then go about making the pupil aware of where it is coming from and very importantly, why it is happening. For me, it is very important that the pupil understands their golf swing and where the faults are coming from.
The final part of the lesson is in showing the pupil the solution to the problem. This can be achieved by a number of methods namely:
- Swing drills
- Teaching aids
- And Video analysis
Golf lessons take place at the following two driving ranges:
- Newtown Driving Range, Tramore, Co.Waterford &
- Tinhalla Driving Range, Carrick-on-Suir, Co.Tipperary
