Ian is a Qualified PGA Professional, based in the Munster area, in particular Waterford and Tipperary. He specialises in:

Ian coaches golfers of all standings from complete beginner to the accomplished player. Over the last five years, through his uncomplicated approach and vast knowledge, Ian has built up a great reputation coaching golfers from all over Munster.
He works with the GUI (Golfing Union of Ireland), the ILGU (Irish ladies Golfing Union), JGI (Junior Golf Ireland) and YMG (Young Masters Golf) in developing the game in the South of Ireland.
With the GUI and the ILGU, he coached the Munster regional junior panels. The “women in golf” programs have been a tremendous success over the past four years where Ian has coached ladies from the Limerick, Shannon and Nenagh areas.
Initially Ian completed a four year Business Studies Degree at The Waterford Institute of Technology with a keen interest in statistical analysis. Ian then focused on a career in the golf industry and joined the P.G.A. in 2005. Over the last five years, Ian has had a particular interest in what part the mind plays in the performance of the greatest athletes of our time. During his Degree programme with the PGA he studied Golf Psychology. He completed several golf psychology programs with renowned sports psychologists while also studying countless sports psychology books and journals. Consequently, he has adopted some of these techniques in the game of each of his clients with outstanding results.
He is known in Ireland for being one of the best Junior Golf instructors and implements the Young Masters Golf and the Junior Golf Ireland programs, which are always a tremendous success. (See junior golf)
Ian is an expert in the use of video analysis technology (where he uses V1 analysis, #1 video analysis software in golf) and currently is working with golfers at all levels of the game. (See V1 Video analysis)
He is also an expert club fitter with over five years custom fitting experience fitting golfers from all over Munster with the leading brands like:
- Titleist, Cobra, Callaway, Taylor Made & Ping
Ian is a member of the Golf Clubmakers Association of Europe, which is an organisation devoted to clubmaking, equipment technology and club repair.
Ian operates at two driving ranges in the Waterford and Carrick-on-Suir areas, namely:
- Newtown Driving Range, Tramore, Co.Waterford &
- Tinhalla Driving Range, Carrick on Suir, Co.Tipperary.

Ian competes on the Irish PGA Regional Tour and also on the PGA Europro Tour.
He has qualified for every Irish PGA Championship since 2005 and in 2006 was the leading qualifier for the PGA championship at Druids Heath.
